There are a lot of things about the Leto brothers on the net, but the most of them are not true. I try to write the truth.

SL was born in 1970 April 7th, but sometimes, when someone asks him, he says March 9th. I think, the April 7th date is the truth, because his personality and his appearance is rather shows an Aries person.

Second. The closest informations about SL are on the www.jared-leto.org - here You can find awesome pictures, and on the www.30secondstomars.com - this is the site of Shan's band. In the "communicate" section You can find a very lot of things - interwiews, pictures, music videos. On the opening page are pictures and the music video "ATTACK".

Third. I try to write a few words about him. I hope, it will be help. There are a lot of things about the Leto brothers on the net, but the most of them are not true. I try to write the truth.

SL was born in 1970 April 7th, but sometimes, when someone asks him, he says March 9th. I think, the April 7th date is the truth, because his personality and his appearance is rather shows an Aries person. As we know, he was born in the same place where his brother did - Bossier City, Louisiana. Their father left the family early, that's why the boys were brought up by their mother, Constance Leto. The family moved a lot, they lived several places in the U.S., and on Haiti too. The boys got very open-minded education, and as Jared said once, they weren't sheltered. They were very poor. Later their mom married to a doctor, who adopted the boys. The brothers' father, who left them, married again too, and had other 2 children, and later died.

Shannon didn't like the school, because he prefers self-education. He reads very lot, and as he said, he reads and learns more on this way, tough he sits in a classroom, hearing the teacher. He played drums from his early ages, and he educated himself. Otherwise his model was driven Jared Leto into music. Jared learned alone too, he plays guitar, bass and so.

He likes dogs. There is a story, what Jared told later, that once he and his brother walked away and there were a lot of dogs. Shannon got a horrible fight with one dog, and the animal bit his toe off. Soon the dog and Shannon became friends.

Shannon had a drum kit, but he had to sell it, because he got into trouble, and had to pay a court fine. Later he did demolition derbies in Indiana. As we know, Jared and Shannon were both arrested there. Don't know, why, Jared said "because of the usual things", so we think there was a fight maybe. Later they moved to L.A. Shannon used to work on constructions. The brothers made music for theirself, later they had appearances, but they changed the band's name all the time. It was pure art. The first CD, what they recorded, was the work of the 2 boys. They had got later 2 and 3 other mates in the band, but they made the first record alone (!). The record partly was produced by the brothers. It was in 2002, and then the band was on tour for a long time. Later, when Jared worked on the movie "Alexander", Shannon and the other 2 members of the band followed him into Africa and Thailand, worked on the 2nd album, what released in 31th August 2005.

Now the band is on tour again, tonight they will make a concert in Edmonton.

The other things to know about SL: he is a photographer too, he has got a Nikon camera. He writes too, and at all, a very creative person. While Jared is vegetarian, Shannon is a semi-vegetarian, so he doesn't eat red meat. He smokes a lot. He loves his mom and his brother very much, once he almost beat a guy in a concert, because the guy scolded Jared with curses. He has got good sense of humour. His close friend is Anthony Kiedis of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
